I can help you with your home search and potential purchase in many ways. I believe the following five things helps make me the best choice to help you. I also believe they are major reasons you should choose me to assist you over other real estate agents:
- Recently I became one of the first 76 REALTORS® in North Carolina to graduate from the new N.C. Workforce Housing Specialist program. This training program occurred in three pilot cities, Ashville, Raleigh and Wilmington. I traveled to Wilmington in order to learn these financing program options and stratgies. My goal is now to assist home buyers in Craven, Pamlico, and Jones counties as well as the New Bern, Havelock communities with these skills. I believe there is a urgent need for safe, affordable housing for working folks with modest incomes and first time home buyers. The Workforce Housing Specialist certification is a program designed by the Homes4NC Foundation.
- You can arrange for me to represent you as an Accredited Buyer's Representative®. I have taken additional training, beyond getting my N.C. brokers license in order to learn how to represent your best interest and help protect you. As an Accredited Buyers Representative®, I work for you not the seller.
- You will have a Residential Finance Consultant on your side. This training helps me advise my clients on the cost of waiting to buy, deciding to rent vs. buy, and many other aspects of home ownership. "I help people understand the tax advantages, financing alternatives, and investment aspects of home ownership and why now is an incredible time to buy."
- You will have a Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute to guide you through the process of a real estate transaction. I went through an additional 90 hours of classroom instruction on topics including contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, and risk reduction. I use these skills every day as a full time REALTOR® in order to represent my clients in the manner that they deserve and should expect.
- Many of my buyer tranactions have been first time buyers using VA loans. I have developed hand-outs, assembled educational videos, and learned from prior transactions what to look out for and what to expect as we go towards the "closing" date.
If you are new to the area, you will soon learn what the locals already know: eastern North Carolina is a great place to call home, the traffic is not bad and the people are friendly.
